I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer providing mobile one-on-one personal fitness training, competitive bodybuilding, diet, and powerlifting preparation, fitness evaluations, cardiovascular endurance, healthy body fat and weight control, sport specific training and strength training programs in Copperas Cove, Texas, 76522. My personal training services differ from other's for one reason, I am passionate about helping people better their life. Whether I am teaching principles of safe, effective exercise, correct form and execution of training techniques or sharing accepted guidelines of better, more balanced, eating. I don't look at it as a business; I look at it as helping better people's lives. I teach clients proper technique and skills on all exercises therefore minimizing the risk of injuries. The goal is improving clients' quality of life through education, motivation and designed personalized fitness programs. I stress long-term health benefits of improving one's strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness which leads to better appearance, a positive outlook on life, and enhanced self-esteem—lifelong.
When I walk into the gym and see people working out using the same poor form and technique I have corrected over many years, it drives me crazy. I want to help people to ensure they have a long healthy life in the gym without injuries. So I began my personal journey of practical and academic education with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) resulting in my current status as a Certified Personal Trainer (Certificate ID: 1462084). I am also certified through the National Academy of Strength and Power (NASP) as a powerlifting coach. I hold a current certificate in Nutrition for Peak Performance and I am continuing my education for Corrective Exercise. Bottom line—I put my heart and soul into helping people exercise safely and effectively by providing a high level experience in physical fitness education, coaching and motivation, and developing personalized fitness programs based on my client needs, limitations, and expectations.
Given my practical experience and education over the last fifteen years in bodybuilding, powerlifting and fitness training, I am considered an advanced personal trainer and coach. In time, the cornerstone of strength training—the squat, dead lift, and various pressing movements can help a person develop tremendous strength and physical fitness. In some instances, when performed incorrectly, these same exercises can cause injury. After many years of trial and error, not to mention injuries, I wanted to figure out a better way to train. I was sick of making progress just to have a setback with injuries. I became obsessed with learning about biomechanics, kinesiology, human anatomy and proper stretching techniques. I wanted to learn why my body does what it does. Now I have a greater understanding of how the body works, which led me to where I am today. It is vital to have an educated and experienced coach to guide beginning exercise enthusiasts to adhere to safe training protocols for improved joint mobility and stability for efficient and productive movement patterns.
